Reflection

Working as a teacher and being a student has been demanding. I've been challenged to meet new goals both professionally, as a student, and a human in general. This month gave true responsibility a more personal touch. The knowledge I've gained from this course and others makes me the bearer of such wealth, it can be daunting to think of all the goals I've set for myself. However, the success I've had with implementing new strategies and technology in my classroom is so reassuring. The planning I have been able to practice has enabled to me to be confident in my future attempts. Finding out my weaknesses has been an honest relief as being ignorant can never satisfy the feeling of defeat. Taking differentiation, technology, pre-assessment, and reflection into more consideration enables me to become a better version of my self. The guidance I acquired this month has been a nice wake up call to what I aim at producing.

  1. Hello Carolina,

Balancing work and school is definitely tough. There have been too many days in which I just feel like ignoring my school work. However, lately what has kept me going is the fact the finish line is much too close to give up now. We have to keep persevering and continue growing. We are almost there!

  2. I like that you noted that despite your machine-like productivity and demanding work load, you still need to find that human element in all of this. I too, have felt the professional, academic, and personal strain this year and I am commiserating with you! Yet, I agree that the reality of all the skills we have gained has been worth the struggle, and we will only get better with time! Good luck, Carolina!

  3. Carolina,

Great post and I am glad to see that you have gotten so much knowledge out of this class and have grown as well over the past month. It's great to see that you have had success and wish to continue to grow both as a teacher and a person! It will only allow you to become an even better teacher and person over time!
